Southwest Championships at Canyon Speedway Park

The southwest Championships have all the potential to become a great event that will prosper and build for years to come. I’m currently in the process of finalizing some new sponsors that will only increase the purse for the Southwest Championships. Anyone who would like to be involved in the Southwest Championships can reach me at 602-318-0437. We already have an increase for the Mod Midget-Mini Sprint purse and it will be posted tonight.

The rules for the Midgets will be running under NMRA rules and for info you can reach Rick Shuman at 480-495-4774. The Sprint Cars will be running the ASCA rule package and for info you can reach Scott Suttton at 602-363-9277. The Mod midgets-Mini Sprints will be running under the AMMA banner and for info on the rules you can go to their website at azmodifiedmidget.com.

If you have any other questions call Steve Dunn at 602-318-0437

Just read the race format and payout- and I'm a bit confused.  Who gets paid on night one, if only heats and semis are run?  On the 28th, it says top 8 of last chance race start in B main spots 13-20.  Who starts in 1-12 of B main? Who runs in the Dashes and how is order determined?  Maybe I'm just easily confused.. can someone clarify?   Looking forward to some good open wheel racing.

Sorry when we cut and pasted the format on the flyer it did not show the friday night main events. All three divisions are running mains both nights. The top 8 in Friday nights mains are locked into the dash for Saturday that will determine the first 4 rows of the championship features. Positions 9-20 in Friday nights mains will start 1-12 in Saturdays B-mains. Positions 13-20 will be filled by the last chance race. I hope this clears things up a bit. If you have any questions please give me a call.
