Southern New Mexico Speedway and El Paso Speedway Park are going to have mini sprint racing this year. We don't have club fees, memberships, just come race, we have it scheduled so minis will run Friday night in El Paso and Saturday night in cruces. We also have them scheduled in on some other nights during the season. Our rules are posted at epspeedwaypark.com. If you all have any questions you can call Jerrad Warhurst at (915) 540-2164 hope to see you all here

Cruces is more like Prescott. It's smaller than canyon.

Yes cruces is about 1/4 mile high banked and El Paso is just short of 3/8 mile with medium bank. Both tracks are wide, smooth with great clay

I want to ask this so others can see the reply and clear any confusion that may occur.   I also know that some will not take the time to go over and read your rules so when they see they are already legal, maybe more will make the drive.

Are the races in Feb/early Mar. wing or non wing?

Looking over your engine rules, it looks like they are open/outlaw rules, but on 600cc you say (stock).
Just so we are clear, are the rules for 600,618 and 636 engines open?

Your tire rule only requires a tire that punches 50 at the end of the race.  This isnt a question, but that sounds like you want us using a 25 to me.  Nothing wrong with that, thats what we will probably use this year out here anyway and we all have them.

We can have an electric/manual wing slider and use it, but nothing else like shock adjustments/panhard bar/weight jackers.  Correct?

Anyone have an idea for a starting gear for Las Cruces?  If so, what engine and we can go off of that.

Im thinking about sticking my buddy JR Patton in the car for the first race so he can dial it in.  Is that considered cheating?  Lol.  Im not sure he will know what to do going so slow.

Looking forward to racing with you guys.  Any idea of how many guys from your area are building cars to race this season?

You might not make the 50 with a Hoosier D25 after 15min   Spec from hooiser on a d25 is 48.  During winter series a couple new d25's took the full 15 min to make it barely to the 48 spec.    Ascs tire with is the old d27 is spec by hooiser 50.

Yes basically we are making it where any motor can run with us to get the class started, we are only asking that the outlaw motors weigh more to make it fair for A class cars that will be running also. If we had the car count to run two separate classes we would, but this way out car count is good. And yes the 3 day show we will be running wings, you are allowed to have wing sliders, no cockpit adjustable shocks, I will check about the panhard, I believe it's ok if you have a method of locking it down prior to the race. And yes the tires are required to punch 50. 15 minutes after the race.

I believe we have 14 to 18 cars in the area right now, we also have drawn the attention of cars out of Albuquerque and grants nm to come race with us. We hope to make this a successful class and strive for fairness and sportsmanship in the class, we are open to suggestions, ideas and partners in getting this class to the potential it has. You can also check out our Facebook page now, just look up southwest mini sprints. Hope to see all of you there, lets make these first shows a hit that way the next ones can be even bigger for the minis!

Further Clarification
If they are following the rules that we have established in Albuquerque then the 600 Stock rule means that there can be no modification to the engine such as fly wheel lightening, transmission must have all gears, charging system must be intact. If there has been any modifications, even if the engine is 600cc, then it is an outlaw weight class motor.
